Black Ops is out!

Yes its finally here! Call of Duty: Black Ops was released last night at midnight. Due to unforeseen circumstances I was unable to make it to the midnight release but I heard that people started to line up at 6 at my local Gamestop. I managed to get it today, and I'll say, I'm not disappointed! I have started on the campaign and played up to Rank 12 in multiplayer. I have not gotten to the zombies yet but when I do I'll be sure to either update this post, or, if I am impressed enough with it, I'll post a new post on it.

The campaign is pretty good if you understand what is actually going on. When I started, I honestly had no idea what was going on, which is good...in a way, because the main character (Alex Mason) has no idea what is going on either. This electronically altered voice keeps pestering Mason with questions, which he eventually gives in to. He then goes on to explain his career. He relives those events as he tells them, and you get to experience it from first person! Eventually you run into an old friend from World at War. Yep! You meet up with Victor Reznov again! You both are stuck in a Russian prison planning to escape, which you do and Reznov is unable to make it with you as you escape. No he doesn't die, you get to see him later, so don't worry. I think that's all I will go into for now.

I believe I wasn't all together when I started multiplayer, because I thought i was staring at the multiplayer selection screen for World at War. I had forgotten that Infinity Ward didn't make Black Ops so I was confused for a minute there. Anyways, the experience is amazing. They redid a lot of your favorite perks from MW2 and some weren't even there! (R.I.P. Commando) They added new killstreak rewards, and the return of Dogs has nearly made me cry. I hated those things with a passion. Along with adding new things they added the Wager Mode. Its a mode where you bet on your skills to place 1st, 2nd, or 3rd. The matches are all FFA so there's no teams in it. Out of all of the 4 modes, Gun Game, and Sharpshooter were my favorites. I liked Gun Game because when you go around the corners with your rocket launcher you almost pray that there isn't someone there. The Gun game is extremely intense. I like sharpshooter because of the comedy that accompanies it. One second you are shooting your opponents with an MP5K and then the next second you got yourself a M72 LAW (Rocket Launcher) and you just accidentally blew yourself up with it because you weren't paying attention.

Overall I give Call of Duty: Black Ops a 4/5, due to the fact that I have yet to play zombies mode. When I do, i will provide my input on it, and possibly bump that rating up.

And we're up and runnning!

First post! Just kidding! This truly is the first post on the Gamer Syndicate. I'll be sure to get as much done as possible for the site's kick off. I'll review some games that i have played and rate them on how well I enjoyed them. Gamer Syndicate, will be mostly run by me, as I start getting better at this, I might decide to add some people to help with the reviews and other things such as that. Depending on how well the Gamer Syndicate runs I might consider getting a forum up and running...note the word "CONSIDER". That is not a promise.

Anyways, about the Gamer Syndicate. This site is dedicated to getting YOU news about your favorite games. I will post almost weekly (maybe more often) about news in the gaming world. I will also have another page separate for reviews on games. I will be taking requests to review games as you will. They will not be posted immediately as I have limited funds and will not be able to get the games right away.
